Question 1

How do I create my first invoice?

Accepted Answer

Sign up free, add a client (Clients tab), then create an invoice: pick the client, add line items with quantities and rates, set tax and the due date, and watch the finished invoice build itself in the live preview. Save it, mark it sent, and mark it paid when the money lands. The guest maker on the homepage also works with no account at all — fill it in and download the PDF.

Question 2

Is Invoicekin really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the Free plan costs $0 forever: 15 invoices a month, 50 tool credits a month for estimates and the other documents, up to 5 clients, logo and signature, every currency, and PDF + DOC downloads, with no card required. Pro and Business simply remove the limits and add the BONUS pack and automation.

Question 3

Do my clients need an Invoicekin account?

Accepted Answer

No. You send the invoice as a PDF or DOC, or share it by WhatsApp or email — your client just opens the document and pays you through the payment method or payment link printed on it.

Question 4

Can I use Invoicekin as a restaurant bill?

Accepted Answer

Yes — rename the document to “Bill” with the custom labels, add each dish as a line item, and use the optional restaurant fields: table number, Dine-In / Takeaway / Delivery, guest name, a service charge (% or fixed), and “Prepared by”. Cash over the total prints as Received with the Change. The Receipt print action prints the same bill in a narrow 80mm layout for thermal printers. It is a billing tool, not a POS — no kitchen or table management.

Question 5

What do the plans cost?

Accepted Answer

Free is $0 forever. Pro is $11/month or $120/year; Business is $28/month or $290/year. Monthly is the default; yearly costs less than paying monthly. The full feature comparison is on the Pricing page .

Question 6

How do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Any time, from Plan & Billing in your account — switch to the Free plan and no further charges are made. Your access to the paid plan continues until the end of the period you paid for, and your invoices, clients and documents stay in your account.

Question 7

What is the monthly report PDF?

Accepted Answer

On Pro and Business, Invoicekin generates your month-end report by itself — invoices issued, total billed, collected, outstanding, new clients, your top client, and what you spent on Invoicekin that month — emails it to your in-app Inbox, and archives it under Plan & Billing → Monthly reports for download any time. The interactive Reports & charts stay Business-only; the automatic PDF summary goes to both paid plans.

Question 8

What is Refer & Earn?

Accepted Answer

Every account has a referral link (Plan & Billing → Refer & Earn). When a friend who signed up through it makes their first paid purchase, you both earn one free month: yours extends your current paid plan (on Free you receive one month of Pro), and theirs is added on top of the term they bought. A bare sign-up earns nothing, one bonus per referred customer, and referring yourself earns nothing.

Question 9

How do I pay for Pro or Business?

Accepted Answer

By card at checkout. Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record — your card details go to Paddle only; we never see or store card numbers. After payment, the app verifies the recorded payment status before showing your success page, and your confirmation email carries the same receipt summary as that page.

Question 10

What is LAUNCH40?

Accepted Answer

Our launch offer: 40% off the first term of Pro or Business when you enter the code LAUNCH40 at checkout — Pro monthly drops to $6.60 and Business yearly to $174, for example. It applies to the first term only; renewals are at the list price, and that is stated at checkout before you pay.

Question 11

My payment failed — what do I do?

Accepted Answer

Check the card number, expiry and CVC and that the card allows online payments, then try again from Plan & Billing — a failed payment never changes your plan. If it keeps failing, contact support@invoicekin.online and tell us the plan you were buying. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy .

Question 12

Which documents can I create?

Accepted Answer

Invoices, estimates/quotes (which convert to invoices in one click), receipts, purchase orders, proformas, credit notes and timesheet-invoices — all from the same editor. Documents other than invoices cost 1 tool credit each; the Free plan includes 50 free credits every month, and paid plans are unlimited.

Question 13

Can I give a discount, add shipping, or record a part payment?

Accepted Answer

Yes — on every plan, Free included. A discount can be a percentage OR a fixed amount; shipping is its own line; and when a client pays in parts, record the Amount Paid and the invoice prints the Balance Due. You can also add SKU codes, an Order No., the payment method and the client's VAT / Tax ID.

Question 14

Which currencies and languages are supported?

Accepted Answer

Every currency — USD, PKR, EUR, GBP and 50+ more — on every plan, set per invoice or as your account default. Invoice labels come in English, Spanish, French and German, and you can rename the fixed wording per document (for example “Invoice” → “Tax Invoice” or “Bill”). Downloads as PDF and editable DOC are free for everyone.

Question 15

What are recurring invoices and automatic reminders?

Accepted Answer

Part of the Pro BONUS pack: a recurring invoice repeats weekly or monthly by itself (retainers, subscriptions), and automatic reminders send polite nudges before and after the due date. Pro also adds the payment link + scan-to-pay QR, invoice view tracking with notifications, all 6 templates, and late-fee settings.

Question 16

I forgot my password — how do I reset it?

Accepted Answer

Use “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page. For security, the reset link is delivered only to your account's own email — and a copy lives in the app: sign in, open the Inbox tab, and use the “Reset my password” button inside the reset email. Links work for 1 hour and can be used once.

Question 17

How do I export my data?

Accepted Answer

In the app: Settings → Export my data. You can download a complete JSON export (profile, clients, every document and your payments) or CSV files of your documents and clients — generated from your real records only, free on every plan.

Question 18

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Email support@invoicekin.online from your account email and we will delete your account and its data. Exporting first (Settings → Export my data) is a good idea if you want to keep copies of your invoices.
